Our hand reached out and we quickened the moon. Greasy fingerprints smeared the silver and the tarnish spread - now an uncanny bloom hides our abandoned toys strewn across the surface. A delicate green, a fur, shrouds the familiar platinum face, it glows - but not quite as we remember it. We rail at our destructiveness and in contrition send bombs to put it right.

Powerful stuff...
Thank you Lana. It was inspired by watching a documentary about the Apollo Moon landings and how, as the first mission orbited and looked down at the moon below, the crew read out excerpts from Genesis. It almost took on the quality of a spell, and I wondered what if we really did accidentally dirty up the moon with life? How would we react?
I saw something over Christmas, a documentary about people living on the moon...as I said to Andy, we have made a big enough mess with this planet without screwing up another! Cool image :)
P.S my word verification came up as litter which I thought was very apt!
I keep wishing they would leave the moon alone ~ a big enough mess is being created here! However, I love to look at it and muse with the night sky :)
